In particular, I am interested in the properties of diffuse gas in and around galaxies and quasars. My group&#8217;s expertise lies in galaxy surveys, integral field spectroscopy of extended nebulae, and absorption-line spectroscopy of distant light sources (quasars\/gamma-ray burst afterglows). These approaches enable comprehensive studies of baryon cycles between star-forming regions and the intergalactic medium.
