My main research interest is to understand the recycling of baryons between star-forming regions and intergalactic medium through a cross-correlation study of galaxies and absorbption-line systems uncovered in the spectra of distant light sources. The principal goals of my research are (1) to characterize the origin of QSO/gamma-ray burst afterglow absorption-line systems and (2) to understand the mass assembly of galaxies.
